Una usina ideológica de los sectores avanzados de la pequeña burguesía latinoamericana
En este sentido, no es un estudio que aborde a las “clases medias” como concepto teórico. Se parte de explorar las maneras en que son denominadas estas capas sociales en los materiales analizados, documentos, en relación a: ¿qué cuestiones suelen ser mencionadas?, ¿quiénes son los letrados?, su carácter contradictorio, y las analogías posibles con la ambigüedad ideológica de la “pequeña burguesía”, ¿con qué otros sujetos hablan?, ¿dónde circulan sus textos?. Este acercamiento, nos servirá para acotar algunos problemas que se recortan en la problemática referida, y sobre todo respecto de los debates que se establecen en este período histórico entre estos sectores y otros actores, en un contexto caracterizado por el surgimiento de la “cuestión social”, la guerra en Europa, la revolución Rusa de 1917 y la revolución mexicana en América.
This article inquires about the middle class in Latin America in the early twentieth century, trying to make a brief genealogy of university reform of 1918 and its relationship with a number of Latin American thinkers of the 20s of the last century. In this sense, this is not a study that addresses the "middle class" as a theoretical concept. It starts exploring the ways in which they are mentioned in documents, guided by the following questions: What issues they are generally mentioned?, Who are the writers?. Contradictory nature, and analogies with ambiguity ideology of the "petite-bourgeoisie". What other subjects speak?, Where do their texts circulate?. This approach, help us to refine some problems that are trimmed in the aforementioned issue especially concerning discussions in this period of history between these sectors and others actors, in a context characterized by the emergence of the "social question”, the war in Europe, the Russian Revolution of 1917 and the Mexican Revolution in America.
