A casi 10 años de que el presidente Evo Morales Ayma aprobara en Potosí el Plan Nacional de Industrialización de los Recursos Evaporíticos del Salar de Uyuni, la flamante Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB) exhibe una serie de avances tecnológicos inéditos en la región, resultado de un modelo productivo basado en la soberanía sobre los recursos naturales. Luego de visitar el Centro de Pilotaje de Baterías y Cátodos desarrollado por la empresa estatal en la localidad potosina de La Palca, los autores entrevistan al Ing. Luis Alberto Echazú Alvarado, histórico Gerente Nacional de Recursos Evaporíticos de COMIBOL hasta su nombramiento como Viceministro de Altas Tecnologías Energéticas a comienzos de 2017.
Almost ten years after president Evo Morales Ayma approved in Potosí the National Plan of Industrialization of Evaporitic Resources of the Uyuni Salt Flat, the brand new Bolivian Lithium Beds (YLB) exhibits a number of technological advancements which are unheard of in the region, and which are the result of a productive model based on the sovereignty over natural resources. After visiting the Battery and Cathode Pilotage Center developed by the State enterprise in La Palca, Potosí region, the authors interview engineer Luis Alberto Echazú Alvarado, historical National Manager of Evaporitic Resources of COMIBOL up until his appointment as Viceminister of Energetic High Technologies in early 2017.
